At the Samsung Unbox & Discover 2024 event that took place at the end of March 2024, Samsung has shown their latest line of smart televisions, the Samsung Neo QLED series which consists of Samsung Neo QLED 8K models that use the AI NQ8 AI Gen3 processor chip.
The chip has a twice-fast NPU with an eight-fold increase in neural networks to 512 from 64 for a more enjoyable viewing experience.
Among the new AI features that are in focus is 8K AI Upscaling Pro which is able to improve the quality of normal content displayed in a higher resolution reaching 8K for a better visual experience. It is also assisted by AI Motion Enhancer Pro for smoother 8K quality, especially for content that involves fast movement. Take the example of streaming sports via online streaming services.
Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN900D comes with a size of 85 inches and has a fast refresh rate of 240Hz and comes with built-in features such as HDR and also support for Dolby Atmos audio technology.
Meanwhile, Real Depth Enhancer Pro can enhance details on fast-moving scenes using AI to make them appear clear.
Active Amplifier Pro allows certain sounds to be enhanced for a clearer and deeper audio experience. Followed by Object Tracking Sound Pro and Adaptive Sound Pro features that can create more natural-sounding audio that matches the current content.
Today, Samsung Malaysia has confirmed that the Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN900D smart television with NQ8 AI Gen3 processor has already started to be offered in the local market at a price of RM46,999 and with a new sales promotion that gives customers of this television a Touch'n'Go eWallet credit worth RM2500 .
