After several months of the official launch of Smart #1 in Malaysia last November 2023, PRO-NET which is a subsidiary of Proton will present the next model which is Smart #3 at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 which will take place next week.
Smart #3 may look almost the same as Smart #1, but Smart #3 is clearly differentiated in terms of 'coupe' design and has a slightly larger size than Smart #1. In terms of dimensions, it is also longer and wider despite sharing the Geely SEA design platform that is also used on the Smart #1
Apart from the 'coupe' design on the Smart #, there are improvements in terms of the level of regenerative braking which now has 3 levels, as well as faster acceleration power and increased battery capacity, giving a longer travel distance. We have tried it at Proton Test Circuit Shah Alam and can only share our opinion during our test.
The Smart #3 will be announced next week, on May 21 at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 event and more information regarding the model and specifications as well as interior equipment will be shared on that day. Let's all look forward to the announcement next week.
