The New Apple Pencil Will Have a Haptic System

Apple will hold a special event on May 7 next with several new iPad models to be announced. According to Bloomberg's latest report, in addition to the improved iPad a new Apple Pencil with haptic features will also be launched.

When used on the iPad screen, users can feel the haptic response as if using a real pencil. Previously several patents with haptic systems have been filed by Apple and only now are they ready to be used in real products.

Another feature that is believed to be supported is pressure detection on the body of the Apple Pencil. This can be mapped to multiple actions by the user. In previous models, the Apple Pencil had a feature that detects tapping on the side of the body that allows the in-app brush to be changed.

To what extent the truth of this latest Bloomberg information will only be known at the event that will last only a week.
