Apple has now updated the Apple Pay support page in Malaysia, and also added another new bank that is supported for local users, namely Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VIB). With this introduction, VIB users of either credit or debit cards can add their cards to Apple Pay in Malaysia.
It is not known how many banking users there are in Malaysia.
With this addition, Apple Pay now supports AmBank, HSBC, Maybank, RHB Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Wise, and also VIB Bank. For now, it is not known when other major banks will also support Apple Pay in Malaysia – especially the one that many are waiting for is CIMB Bank.
