Google Translate adds support for 110 new languages with the help of PaLM 2 language model (LLM). This is the most addition of languages since Translate was introduced in 2006. With this Translate can now support 244 major languages of the world with a target to support 1000 id languages in the future .
Among the new languages supported are Iban, Banjar, Batak, Minang, Cantonese, and Jawi Malay. The 110 languages introduced are used by 614 million users worldwide. The more capable Google Translate is now accessible through the website and app on Android and iOS.
