Apple Intelligence is Apple's own generative Ai feature that is only supported on devices with Apple M chip, Apple A17 Pro chip and all iPhone 16. Unfortunately, all these features are still not available until next October as they will only arrive in iOS 18.1 which currently still in beta form. Apple Intelligence also has a limited language which is English and this will change from December and 9 additional languages will arrive in 2025.
In October, Apple Intelligence only supports one language, which is United States English, and by December, Australian, Canadian, New Zealand and South American English dialects will be provided. Meanwhile in 2025, 9 other languages that will be supported are Chinese, French, Japanese, Spanish, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and Vietnamese. English dialects for Singapore and India are also supported.
It is quite disappointing that there is still no announcement about Malay language support, even though the TRX Apple Store has opened. For now, the generative AI technology with Bahasa Melayu by the device manufacturer is only supported by Honor and in the future by Samsung.
