If you are a digital nomad who constantly moves from one location to another, and uses computers and various digital equipment for work and life purposes, one of the essential accessories for you is definitely a fast digital storage.
Iodyne, a digital storage manufacturer today announced their latest product, the Iodyne Pro Mini, a compact SSD storage that comes with data writing and reading speeds as fast as 3GB/s. It comes with USB4 and Thunderbolt connection support, but that's not what helps this SSD get those super-fast speeds.
External SSD storage that has a USB4 or Thunderbolt connection will usually come with a data transmission speed of around 40Gbps, but due to issues such as temperature, this data speed rate will usually drop to around 20Gbps or 1.5GB/s. Iodyne uses a Frore Systems AirJet Mini cooling system that uses electricity to generate air that cools the SSD chips silently.
This temperature reduction allows this Iodyne Pro Mini storage to offer full speed of 3GB/s all the time when you use this SSD storage.
In terms of storage offerings, the Iodyne Pro Mini comes with a choice of 4TB and 8TB storage in an aluminum frame and has a digital display on the back that shows some details such as the storage name given, the amount of storage used and the type of connection to your laptop , so you know what data speed can be shown.
Pre-orders for the Iodyne Pro Mini are also open for selected markets and will go on sale in the first quarter of 2025. The price for this SSD storage is set at $1500 for the 4TB model and $2200 for the 8TB model.
