Are you an iPhone X user or still loyal to the iPhone 8? If so, it means that you are still running iOS 16 and you can slowly get ready to switch to the newer iPhone 16 as more and more apps will stop supporting them, especially if you watch videos on Netflix a lot.
Most recently, Netflix has stopped application support for the iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 platforms. The five affected devices are the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, the first generation iPad Pro and the fifth generation iPad which will no longer receive new updates to the Netflix application. For now, existing apps can still be used – just no new versions can be downloaded.
If you're having trouble downloading Netflix on the App Store, the streaming platform can still be accessed through a web browser like Safari because DRM support hasn't been discontinued. We recommend that you continue to switch to the iPhone 16 because it is cheaper than last year, more sophisticated and safer.
