Be Aware of Fraudulent SMS Content Related to Driving Licenses

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) Malaysia reminds the public to be vigilant and not to be fooled by any dissemination of false information via Short Message Service (SMS) by irresponsible parties. For example, recently several messages with links related to driving licenses went viral. In addition, the messages also claimed that the owner's license had been suspended and further checks could be made by clicking on the link provided.

This warning is important to avoid confusion and panic among the public which could trigger unwanted situations. The JPJ also informed that it has never sent any links related to driving licenses via SMS or other platforms. Therefore, the public is advised to always be aware and vigilant of the content of SMS such as the following and not click on the links provided. Strict action can also be taken against those who spread these false messages.
