Following turn-by-turn directions on Waze or Google Maps can sometimes be quite annoying, when the information is not complete. For example, suddenly there is a road full of potholes, or a very suspicious route. Recently, Google Maps has been updated to make it easier for people by now being able to display more complete details.
This update is seen as more useful for users who often walk. This is because turn-by-turn directions can now display locations where there are stairs. Users can now see clear, complete directions to their destination and can prepare in advance to avoid any problems or unexpected things.
This feature will appear automatically every time you search for turn-by-turn directions. However, it can be turned off if you prefer stairs or elevators because the settings are in Trip options > Wheelchair accessible.
