Huawei launched the latest generation of the Mate series at an event in China on Selesa. It consists of a number of different models, namely the Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro and Mate 70 Pro+. All of them are marketed in the flagship smartphone segment with improved internal hardware.
Huawei Mate 70 Pro+
Huawei Mate 70 Pro+ is equipped with a 6.9-inch curved OLED FHD+ (2832 × 1316 pixels) screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. There are no specific details about the processor chip but 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage are used. The battery is 5700 mAh and supports 100W wired, 80W wireless and 20W reverse fast charging.
Also included is a 50MP main camera with variable aperture between F1.4-F4.0 and OIS. Then followed by a 40MP ultra-wide sensor and 48MP OIS for telephoto + macro capabilities. This camera system uses Huawei's own XMAGE system which also offers 4X optical zoom and 100X digital. The front camera is 13MP which also supports HDR Video.
Other specifications include IP68/69 waterproofing, USB Type-C/ USB 3.1 Gen 1 port, Wi-Fi 5/Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS support (L1 + L5 Dual Band), under-screen fingerprint scanner, satellite communication features and NFC.

It also offers 4X optical zoom and 100X digital, in addition to a 13MP (f/2.4) front camera. The device also has IP68/69 protection, Bluetooth 5.2, an under-screen fingerprint scanner and satellite communication features. In addition, it runs the latest HarmonyOS 4.3 software, which also supports updates to HarmonyOS 5.0.
Huawei Mate 70
Through the Huawei Mate 70, a 6.7-inch FHD+ (2688 × 1216 pixels) OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz is used. This is matched with a choice of 12GB RAM and 256/512GB/1TB internal storage. The camera system consists of 50MP f/1.4 – f/4.0 variable aperture + 40MP ultra-wide + 12MP periscope telephoto. In addition to supporting 5.5x optical zoom (approximate focal length of the lens 24 mm, 13 mm, 125 mm) and 50X digital zoom.
The battery is 5,300 mAh and supports wired fast charging, 50W wireless and no reverse charging. The device also has a 13MP front camera, IP68/69 protection, an under-screen fingerprint scanner and satellite communication features. In addition, it runs the latest HarmonyOS 4.3 software, which also supports updates to HarmonyOS 5.0.
