Microsoft Recall Rolls Out to Windows Insider Testers With Copilot+ PCs

Earlier this month, Microsoft announced that the Windows Recall feature that allows users to search for any information they are looking for on their computers will be delayed to early December this year.

Recently, Microsoft seems to have started rolling out the feature to Windows Insider users using laptops with Copilot+ support, specifically for laptops powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon X series processors.

They just need to update their operating system to Windows 11 Preview Build 26120.2415 (KB5046723) to activate it. Support for Intel Lunar Lake and AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors will also follow soon.

As previously reported, the Windows Recall function is an opt-in feature where users need to confirm that they want to use it, and understand that a screenshot of every input they make will be taken for the purpose of storing data on the device. This data will not be sent to any server machine, and can only be accessed physically.

It is expected that the Windows Recall function will be introduced to Windows 11 operating system users more widely soon.
