Facebook Will Begin Implementing “Community Notes” for Fact-Checking

Mark Zuckerberg announced today that they will begin implementing the use of “community notes” on their social platforms such as Facebook, replacing their previous separate fact-checkers.

In addition, several things will be changed regarding content policies on the platform under Meta, including removing barriers to some topics, in addition to focusing on friendly and positive communities.

This implementation is expected to be done in stages, starting in the United States. In addition, Mark Zuckerberg also emphasized that he will work more with the incoming President, Donald Trump moving forward. This move is also believed to give more space to users in sharing their voices through the platform under Meta.
