Google Gemini Deep Research is one of the AI agent features that Google is trying to bring. It helps users conduct research on the Internet, by browsing multiple websites simultaneously and generating complete reports with sources. After months of being limited to the web version, it is now offered on the app.
If you are using an Android device, the Gemini app now has a 1.5 Pro with Deep Research model option. After you ask any question or thing you want to research, Gemini will quickly give you a research process and it will take 5 minutes or sometimes more than 10 minutes to generate a report. It may take longer if the research process and sources you want to research are more complex.
Each generated report can also be exported to Google Docs. Then follow-up questions or there are other things you want to add on the same research subject, Gemini can also help answer. The use of Gemini Deep Research however has limits. Gemini will issue a notification if the usage reaches the limit, but does not disclose what the limit is.
In this model, the file upload feature and Gemini Live are disabled. In the Gemini application, a new model, 2.0 Flash, which is faster and more powerful, is now also accessible.
