Two months ago, xAI began testing the Grok app for iOS. This is to compete with other generative AI services such as Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, ChatGPT, DeepSeek and many more that already have their own apps. Most recently, they opened the application registration for Android as well.
This registration registration is only for users in the United States, but you can just register and see if you can find some luck? For the initial phase of use, this app is only open to users in Australia, Canada, India, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia. This app will offer the use of the more powerful Grok 2 model.
Since this app only offers country-specific testing, installing Grok Beta as a sideload on Android devices will only cause it to stop working. Opening the Play Store link will also tell users that the app is not offered in Malaysia.
This app will allow users to generate text, help with research, generate images and chat with Grok to get information. If you are interested, Grok is free to use on the X website or X app even if you do not subscribe to X Premium.
