Maxis today announced that Maxis Home Solar will be offered throughout Peninsular Malaysia starting this May. Previously, Maxis Home Solar was only offered in the Klang Valley after being launched in February. Through it, customers can install solar panels at home to reduce their monthly electricity bills.
Under Maxis Home Solar, savings of up to 25% on monthly electricity bills can be enjoyed and customers will also be registered under NEM (Net Energy Metering), where excess energy generated can be exported to the TNB grid, thus reducing monthly electricity charges.
Six packages are offered by Maxis Home Solar with fees ranging from RM310 per month to RM720 per month depending on the size of the house. This in turn provides savings on monthly electricity bills ranging from RM100 to RM280 depending on the size of the solar panels used. The monthly fee includes the subscription of solar panels, inverter, installation, maintenance and proactive monitoring from Maxis.
This service is only offered to homeowners with real estate, a monthly electricity bill of at least RM200 and a roof with good exposure to sunlight. Every customer will also receive a 10-year warranty and technical assistance from Maxis Home Solar, including issues of supply interruptions, and equipment damage including if caused by rat bites.
