The Battery Health function, which is a menu that shows the current quality of your smartphone's battery, was introduced in the recent Android 16 Beta 3 operating system, but Google also seems to have confirmed that for Google Pixel devices, it will only be introduced on Google Pixel 8a and Google Pixel 9 series devices for now.
With this Battery Health feature, users can see the percentage of battery life, to assess when they need to replace their device's battery. But as reported, this feature seems to be limited to a few select devices for now, and Google does not seem to have given any explanation as to why this is happening.
It is expected that this feature will be introduced to more devices for the stable version of Android 16 later, but for now, it is only limited to those who test the Android 16 Beta operating system first. At the moment it is not known if the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro devices will be supported when this feature is officially introduced through Android 16.
Apple iPhone devices have come with this Battery Health function since the iOS 11 operating system, and it was supported on the iPhone 6 which was launched in 2014.
