The value of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin reached $109,992 (~RM 468,181) this morning and it is the highest value in history. 2025 was a rollercoaster year for the crypto market with Bitcoin value plummeting to around $86,000 in February before returning to $100,000 two weeks ago. The previous highest value of Bitcoin was $106,147 which was reached in December 2024.
The increase in Bitcoin value over the past month was driven by the announcement of President Trump’s administration to approve a framework for the use of crypto as well as various decisions to reduce tariff rates to several world markets including China. This economic recovery has had a positive impact on the interconnected crypto markets.
