Microsoft Overtakes Apple as World's Most Valuable Company

Microsoft today overtook Apple as the world's most valuable company. At the time of writing, Microsoft has a market value of $3.235 trillion compared to Apple's $3.067 trillion. Microsoft's market value rose above $3 trillion last week after it announced increased sales of Xbox consoles, accessories and games worldwide.

Meanwhile, Apple's stock price fell almost 4% today. Although Tim Cook said Apple will incur a $900 million cost increase in the coming quarter due to tariffs imposed on China, the company has not yet planned to increase the selling prices of its products. The measure to reduce the impact of the tariffs will be implemented by importing products from China and Vietnam for the US market only.

At this time, only Microsoft and Apple have a market value of over $3 trillion. Previously, this club was also joined by NVIDIA but it was out since June last year after the "fever" of AI hardware began to subside.
