A YouTube Premium subscription is now a must-have because there are now too many ads. However, the existing subscription plan may not be very affordable. YouTube is now testing a Premium plan for only two users.
This plan is being tested in the Hong Kong, India, France and Taiwan markets with a subscription price between the individual and family plans. In India, this plan can be subscribed for ₹219 (~RM 10.98) per month, which is cheaper than the ₹299 (~RM 15) per month for the family plan. When contacted, YouTube said the test was done to see how users responded.
A few years ago, the Premium Lite plan was also introduced at a more affordable price, but until now its offer has only been limited to a few countries such as Belgium, Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
