Anbernic RG Slide Console Makes Me Miss the Xperia Play

Turn back the clock 15 years and you will see that at that time each phone manufacturer had its own identity. Nokia with minimalist but durable devices rode the apocalypse and Sony combined the solid audio of the Walkman with PlayStation technology. This era is over and replaced by iPhone clones.

In the world of mobile consoles, it is different because the retro design was chosen because it is compatible with the retro games that can be played. Anbernic RG Slide is a new mobile console that makes me feel nostalgic for the Sony Xperia Play and Nokia E7 that I used to own.

The console has a top that slides to the side to reveal two analog buttons, a face button and a four-way button. Four shoulder buttons are placed on the top. When closed, games like Subway Surfer can still be played on the screen because it supports touch.

It is equipped with a 4.7″ TPS IPS screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and it runs the Android operating system. No information about the processor chip, RAM, storage and battery is shared. All that's confirmed is that the RG Slide can run Android, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, N64, Wii, GameCube, and Dreamcast games at up to 640 x 480 pixel resolution. The selling price and launch date have not been announced.
