HP Malaysia today announced the arrival of two compact and powerful workstation-class computers, the HPZ2 Mini G1a and HP ZBook Ultra G1a, powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Max Pro series of processors.
These computers use Unified Memory Architecture technology which allows this CPU and your professional productivity software to take advantage of large amounts of memory to accelerate processes such as 3D object processing, video and animation, scientific calculations, large-scale data processing and so on.
Starting with the HP ZBook Ultra G1a, this laptop comes with a choice of 14-inch IPS or OLED screen displays with a resolution of 1920×1200 or 2880×1800 with a refresh rate as high as 120Hz with a brightness value as high as 400 nits that is bright enough for various types of creative productivity tasks, whether you are editing video or creating high-resolution 3D objects.
This laptop is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro series of processing chips with the AMD Radeon 8060S graphics processing chip built in and combined with 128GB of LPDDR5X memory and a choice of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage of 512GB to 4TB.
This large memory offering is quite important because with the Unified Memory Architecture technology shown by AMD, users can allocate up to 96GB of memory specifically to the GPU component for graphics processing purposes which will speed up processes such as object and video processing and other productivity.
In terms of plug offerings, this laptop comes with two Thunderbolt 4 plugs, one USB 3.2 Type-C plug, one USB 3.2 Type-A plug and one 3.5mm audio plug. In terms of wireless technology support, the HP ZBook Ultra G1a supports the latest and fastest WiFi7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connections.
Cooling these powerful components is HP Vaporforce technology which combines a dual cooling fan design with blades specifically designed to quickly dissipate heat from the components and also the laptop chassis which now has more ventilation space on three sides of this laptop to ensure the keyboard area remains cool even when performing heavy tasks.
The HP Z2 Mini G1a is a compact desktop computer that comes with a frame size of only 3 liters, and can be used as an office computer for creative and scientific productivity purposes, or used as a server machine module depending on the configuration chosen.
HP says that this computer has 28 different configurations but on average all are powered by different AMD Ryzen AI Max Pro processing chips with memory options from 32GB to 128GB LPDDR5X with PCIe 4.0 SSD storage up to 4TB.
HP Malaysia says that the HP ZBook Ultra G1a laptop and the HP Z2 Mini G1a computer will be offered in the Malaysian market via their website starting today, 19 June 2025. The HP ZBook Ultra G1a will be sold at a price of RM7799, while the HP Z2 Mini G1a computer will be sold at a starting price of RM5999
