Nothing promised that their next device would be a flagship smartphone. Many would expect it to be equipped with at least the Snapdragon 8 Elite. But through a tweet on X, the company confirmed that the Nothing Phone (3) will only use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 when it launches next month.
The chip, which was launched in April, comes with an octa-core CPU using a CPU core configuration of 1x Cortex-X4 3.2GHz, 3x Cortex-A720 3.0GHz, 2x Cortex-A720 2.8GHz, and 2x Cortex-A720 2.0GHz. This is paired with the Adreno 825 GPU. It also still uses the 4nm TSMC N4P technology. This makes it an update to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip and not the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
In Malaysia, the iQOO Neo 10 is the only device that uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Although not a true flagship chip, it is still a much more powerful chip than that used in previous Nothing devices.
