Qualcomm is apparently set to unveil its second-generation laptop processor series soon, which will likely be called the Qualcomm Snapdragon X2, and one of those processors, the Snapdragon X2 Elite, is reportedly currently in the testing process.
Several reports say that this processor chip is codenamed SC8480XP, and comes with 18 physical cores, 6 more than the previous Snapdragon X Elite chip.
For the test kit, they also report that the computers come with 64GB of DDR5 memory and 1TB of SSD storage. With this configuration, there are also rumors that this processor chip will power desktop computers as well, and not just laptops.
Qualcomm is expected to showcase this processor series during the Snapdragon Summit event in Hawaii at the end of September.
