Samsung is currently reportedly in the process of investing in artificial intelligence firm Perplexity AI, as well as integrating its artificial intelligence and search offerings into its devices.
If all goes well, the two parties are expected to announce the collaboration and integration of Perplexity as early as this year, and aim for it to be built into the Galaxy S26. This would also show Samsung looking at alternatives to Google's Gemini integration.
Perplexity's offering is expected to be present not only as an AI virtual assistant on Samsung devices, but also integrated as a search function in Samsung's web browser. At the same time, the two parties are also said to be discussing the development of an operating system with comprehensive AI integration and AI agents that assist in a number of tasks.
For now, neither Samsung nor Perplexity has issued an official comment on this matter.
