The Honor Magic V5 was launched in China last week and has managed to overtake the Oppo Find N5 as the world's thinnest foldable phone. 1. Thin Body
When talking about thin, how thick is the Magic V5? The answer is the thickness of a 50-cent piece of ceiling or 4.1mm in S.I. units. This makes it thinner than the 4.4mm on the Magic V3 and more importantly, overtaking the Find N5 which is 4.2mm thick. In the folded position, it is 8.8 mm thick which is the same as the Magic7 Pro. Honor's foldable phone is now as thick as their candybar phone.
2. Big Battery
Yes, the Magic V5 is the thinnest foldable phone to date and many would think that among the sacrifices made was that it was equipped with a small battery. This assumption is completely wrong and distorted because it is equipped with a 5820 mAh battery. This is larger than the Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max batteries.

5. Durable Hinge
Not only is the screen durable, the second-generation Honor Super Steel Hinge used is also improved. It is tested to withstand 500,0000 open and close cycles, which is equivalent to opening and closing 100 times a day for 13 years. The hinge can also lift a load of up to 35 without any damage and can also be used to lift a sofa. Logically, these are two situations out of the box, but it is done to provide long-term trust to potential owners.
6. IP58/ IP59 Waterproof and Dustproof
It's useless to be thin, durable and have a big battery if it can't withstand water droplets and dust.
