Bluesky Introduces New Way to Customize App Notifications

Social media platform Bluesky has recently introduced updates and new features to the way you can receive your notifications, allowing you to customize which activities from the platform will send you notifications.

Most apps typically give you a limited number of options for which activities will send you notifications. Bluesky understands that sometimes you only want to receive notifications from certain activities and users.

Because of this, they have updated the app’s notification settings to allow it to send notifications only under certain circumstances. Bluesky has divided the focus of the notification settings into three sections:

Activity Notifications: Opt in to receive notifications from specific accounts.

Enhanced Notification Settings: Controls to fine-tune the notifications you receive.

Repost Notifications: Get notified when someone likes or reposts a post you’ve retweeted.

You can now also set up to receive notifications from accounts you follow. Every time that account posts a new post, you will receive a notification about it. To activate this feature, you just need to go to the account's profile, and press the bell icon next to the follow button.

Bluesky has also updated the notification settings to allow you to set what activities will send notifications to your device. You can also set to get notifications from all Bluesky users, or only from the accounts you follow.

No matter if you are someone who wants notifications about as much social media activity as possible, or only stories about activity from accounts you know and follow, Bluesky seems to have introduced this additional feature especially for you.
