DJI Osmo 360 May Come With 120MP Sensor And 8K Recording

DJI is expected to launch its first 360-degree action camera known as the Osmo 360. It is expected to be a challenger to the Insta360 X5 and GoPro Max 2 in the action camera market. Several sources have begun to reveal initial information about the specifications and main features of this camera, making its launch one of the most anticipated in this category.

The DJI Osmo 360 will be equipped with a 1-inch CMOS sensor capable of producing images up to 120MP. It also supports video recording in 8K/30FPS resolution, as well as 4K/120FPS slow-motion recording. For those who prioritize video stability, the camera will be equipped with HorinzonSteady 360 image stabilization technology which is expected to provide smoother recordings even in challenging situations.

In terms of battery, the Osmo 360 is expected to use a 1950mAh battery like the one found in the Osmo Action 5 Pro. It can last up to 100 minutes for 8K recording and increases to 180 minutes when paired with the Battery Extention Bar accessory. In addition, this camera supports voice control, hand gestures and integration with Apple Watch and Garmin for hands-free use.

Several accessory packages are also expected to be offered including the Adventure Combo which contains an additional battery, a portable charging dock and others. So far, DJI has not yet made an official announcement about the launch of this camera but it is expected to arrive in the market by the end of July 2025.
