Honor has officially confirmed that its latest foldable phone, the Magic V5, will be launched in Malaysia on 15 July 2025. Attracting attention, the device features a slim design measuring just 8.8mm when opened, which is comparable to a 50-sen coin or three bank cards. This makes it one of the thinnest and most user-friendly foldable phones ever introduced.
Despite its ultra-slim design, the Magic V5 is equipped with a large 5820mAh silicon carbon-based battery. It supports 66W fast charging and 55W wireless charging combined with the Honor E2 chip to ensure optimal energy efficiency. Its camera system is also enhanced with a 64MP telephoto sensor that supports up to 100X digital zoom.
It is also equipped with AI Imaging technologies such as AI Super Zoom, and AI Enchanced Portrait for a better experience. For post-recording editing, the device also provides a variety of AI Editing features such as AI Cutout, AI Eraser, AI Outpainting, and AI Upscale to produce more interesting photos.
For better durability, the Magic V5 is equipped with a display coated with Honor Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield, while the back panel uses a special aerospace industry-based carbon fiber. It also passes the IP58 standard for waterproofing and IP59 for protection against dust and splashes of water.
