The Nintendo Switch 2 mobile game console has finally officially started selling in the Malaysian market yesterday, July 3, 2025. But as expected, for the local market, there are several stores that have also sold sets from other regions, such as Hong Kong, which showed sales on the first day of launch.
So how do you know if the console set you bought is for the local market, or Southeast Asia? The answer is actually quite simple. First, you can look at the Nintendo Switch set box you bought, on the back there will be a sticker saying “For sale and use in Malaysia”, which indicates that it is a local set.
The second way, which is more interesting, is if you look at the Switch 2 console itself, and also on the Joy-Con 2 controller, there will be the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) logo on it, showing that this set has been certified for sale and use in the Malaysian market.
As we all know, the Nintendo Switch 2 arrived a little late to our market because it had to pass SIRIM's approval first, but the wait wasn't that long, and with this, Malaysia is finally officially included in the Nintendo market.
Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller also comes with the same logo, so it can be said that all Nintendo Switch 2 electronic accessories will feature this logo.
You can start buying the Nintendo Switch 2 console at video game stores throughout Malaysia, or via the Nintendo Malaysia online store on Shopee.
