Hugging Face today opened orders for their open source robot, called Reachy Mini.
For your information, previously, Hugging Face was ready to take over the company in focusing on robotics, allowing codes to be developed for use with robot development. Now, in an effort to make it easier for developers to test it, HuggingFace is also offering the Reachy Mini robot for purchase, allowing codes to be run on it and used in development.
Reachy Mini comes in a small size, runs Raspberry 5, and comes with a kit that allows developers to develop various additional features on it. This robot is optimized for using Python. In addition to the Reachy Mini version, another model is offered, namely Reachy Mini Lite which is linked to a computer.
HuggingFace also integrates it with the Hugging Face Hub, thus providing access to a number of AI models and data sets that can be used with the robot. With this step, developers can also test a number of things
