Maybank now allows MAE app users to change or modify their transfer limits directly through the app starting today. This move is part of an ongoing initiative to enhance customers’ digital banking experience. Follow these steps to manage their transfer limits via MAE:
Log in to the MAE app and tap ‘Settings’ in the top left corner.
Select ‘Pay & Transfer’ > ‘Transfer’ > ‘Transfer Limits’.
Select the transfer type you wish to change.
Set a new daily limit from the menu.
Tap ‘Save Changes’ and confirm with Secure2u (only required for limit increases).
As a security measure, any limit increases will go through a 12-hour cooling-off period. During this period, users can still make transactions according to the current limit. Once the period expires, the new limit will take effect and users will be notified via the MAE app or SMS.
Maybank also encourages users to regularly review their daily limits, increase their transfer limits only when necessary, and monitor account activity to detect any suspicious transactions. In the event of unauthorized access, users can activate the Kill Switch via the MAE app or Maybank2u website to temporarily block access and protect the account.
