Ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, several official promotional images of the Samsung Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic have been leaked in advance. Both smartwatches are expected to be launched alongside other devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7.
Based on the leaked images, both new models feature significant design changes, including the use of round and square frames. This new design reminds us of elements that were introduced on the Galaxy Watch Ultra. Despite the changed frame shape, the display screens of both watches still maintain a round shape as their main identity.
For the Galaxy Watch8 Classic model, its design appears more elegant with a raised rotating bezel and grooves for easier manual control. The watch is also equipped with three physical buttons on the side, including an additional button in the middle to allow for various types of control and support for functions such as Google Gemini. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch8 features two buttons on the right side, making it more minimalist in terms of physical control.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic are expected to use the Exynos W1000, the same chip as the Galaxy Watch7 series. No major changes have been announced in terms of battery capacity except for a possible small increase that has not been detailed yet. Information on internal functions, size and accessory offerings is expected to be officially shared during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event.
