A Portable PC Console Built With Powerful Intel And NVIDIA Components

A portable PC console is not a new concept. If you are a computer gamer, but want a console (not a laptop) that can run your favorite games, you have a lot of options out there.

But often the offerings in the market come with their own compromises. Whether the screen is too small, or the processing components are not powerful enough, and so on. Because of this, a YouTuber, NITTRX, has built his own PC console.

Starting with the choice of CPU and graphics card, this console is powered by a combination of Intel Core i9-14900HX processor chip and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card for laptops. It is matched with 64GB of LPDDR5 memory and 2TB of PCIe 5.0 SSD storage.

The console also houses a 12.5-inch IPS LCD screen with 4K resolution used in a Dell Latitude 12 E7275 laptop.

NITTRX has also shown the performance of this console, and it shows games with high graphics performance requirements such as Cyberpunk 2077 running at 4K resolution with a refresh rate of 60-70FPS, while the game God of War is running at the same resolution with a refresh rate as high as 100-120FPS.

In terms of cooling, it is seen that these components maintain a temperature of around 70 degrees Celsius. It may not be very cold, but for the level of performance shown, it is far from the temperature limit of 90-100 degrees Celsius of most components on the market today.

This console is seen to come with the performance of a laptop with the capabilities of a high-performance gaming laptop, but its construction cost is also seen to be approaching, if not equal to, a laptop with the said specifications.
