DJI Romo Launched – Smart Robot Vacuum With Drone Technology to Avoid Obstacles

DJI has introduced Romo, their first robot vacuum equipped with smart technology like that used in drones. Romo is a two-in-one robot vacuum cleaner that can suck up dust and mop floors at the same time. It is equipped with binocular vision sensors and three wide-angle lidars that allow it to identify and avoid thin objects such as cards or cables thicker than 2mm.

The robot can operate for up to three hours covering an area of 178-square meters and takes 2.5 hours to fully charge. It works in temperatures up to 40°C and is equipped with a 164ml water tank that can automatically adjust the volume according to the level of dirt. The mop will automatically lift when it detects a carpet.

Users can also control Romo remotely via smartphone, including viewing the state of the home and communicating with family members. There are three models offered: Roma P with a translucent design and a special dock, and Romo S which is more basic with a white cover.
