YTL has previously introduced their own public language model, called Ilmu. At the time of the introduction, it was said that their language model successfully led other models in the use of the Malaysian language, as well as high BM PT3 and SPM test scores.
Now, in continuation of the introduction of their own public language model, YTL is also preparing to launch their own chatbot service, an alternative to ChatGPT and Gemini, called Ilmu.
The initial version will focus on text generation only, before it is gradually expanded to include visual and voice. Ilmu will be offered in the form of a web and mobile application. Sharing about it, YTL said that they will officially launch ILMUchat on Malaysia Day, which is 16 September 2025.
Later, the service can be accessed via Ilmu.ai. Through the demo shown, it can respond to various questions, including conducting web searches to obtain the latest information. Our own experiments show that it works smoothly, besides the Ilmu.ai interface is also cleaner than those on the market today.
For those of you who are interested, you can look forward to 16 September 2025 to try out the full range of AI bot services from Malaysia, or also register your interest via the Ilmu.ai website today.
