The action camera market is back in full swing with the latest announcement from Insta360. The company confirmed that its new action camera will be officially launched on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
This launch follows Insta360 introducing a new version of the X5 in Satin White. Although the official name of the camera has not yet been publicly announced, various parties are referring to it as the Insta360 Go Ultra.
The Insta360 Go Ultra is expected to be the successor to the Insta360 Go 3S model with a new, more compact design and almost similar in size to the DJI Action 2.
Based on initial information and promotional videos shared, the camera is seen to offer improvements in terms of design and performance, making it a close competitor to the latest models from DJI and GoPro.
More information on specifications and pricing is expected to be announced during the official launch event on August 21.
