Meta Reportedly Seeking AI Firm Focused on Video

Meta has been quite active in acquiring AI-focused talent lately, offering millions of ringgit to a number of employees to join Meta. Not only that, Mark Zuckerberg is now also reportedly looking for an AI firm focused on video generation and video editing.

Meta has held discussions with several parties, including Pika. Pika makes it easy to generate and edit AI-based videos – while also allowing users to be more creative with them.

Meta sees video generation as a key element moving forward, into a world using smart glasses.

Discussions are still in the early stages. It is not known whether Meta is targeting acquisitions, licensing or simply taking talent from related companies, as Meta has done in the past with several other AI firms.
