Vivo Vision was launched in China a while ago as a mixed reality (MR) headset that aims to compete with Apple Vision Pro. So it is not surprising that Vivo Vision borrows some elements of Vision Pro such as the headband and battery pack that are connected using magnets.
A pair of Vision Pro is equipped with an 8K micro-LED screen with a resolution of 3,840 × 3,552 pixels per eye and a 180-degree viewing angle. This is matched with a Snapdragon XR2+ chip and the OriginOS Vision operating system. The total weight of the headset is 398 grams which is lighter than the Vision Pro.
The camera system placed on the front allows for finger and surrounding area detection. No remote control is required as the device can be controlled with a finger.
There is also an eye tracking feature. Like other MR headsets on the market, Vivo Vision has a sponge option for the face and also a diopter lens for nearsighted users. Two headband designs are also provided. The device also has the feature of displaying content from smartphones and PCs.
Owners can watch videos and photos in 3D, use it as a virtual 120″ screen and play 3D MR games. Although it has been launched, the sales price has not been announced. Vivo Vision will be available for testing in several stores in China starting tomorrow.
