YouTube Music is celebrating its 10th anniversary this week by introducing a number of special features for its biggest fans. Badges will be awarded to fans who are the first to watch a new music video or who stream their favorite artist’s music the most. These badges can then be displayed to show your level of loyalty to other fans.
YouTube Music will also display notifications when a favorite artist’s video is about to reach 100,000, 1 million, and 1 billion views. This encourages the most hardcore fans to watch videos until they reach these meaningful numbers.
In collaboration with Bandsintown, YouTube Music will display notifications when favorite artists are performing near their home. In addition, notifications of new albums and merchandise that artists are selling will also be displayed.
