GoPro is expected to launch two new action cameras on September 23, 2025. Although there is no official name yet, one of the models is believed to be the GoPro Max 2. Through the caption provided, GoPro also hinted that two different types of cameras will be announced on the same day.
Although the shared image is not very clear, several sources stated that the second model to be launched is the GoPro Lit Hero, a budget action camera that supports 4K recording. This thus denies the initial speculation that it is the GoPro Hero 14 Black.
On the other hand, the Lit Hero is seen as a successor to the Hero model introduced last September with updates such as an LED light installed on the front of the device for use in dark conditions.
While waiting for the official launch, some initial information about the GoPro Max 2 has also been leaked including a more durable design, improved stabilization and the use of a new processing chip.
Based on the features revealed, these two cameras appear to target different user segments, with the Max 2 suitable for 360-degree recording while the Lit Hero is offered as a budget option for those who want basic performance at a more affordable price.
