The government advises the public to check and ensure that the information on their MyKad and driving licenses is accurate and consistent. This step is important to ensure eligibility to receive the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) targeted subsidy.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Finance announced that the results of a joint review with the Ministry of Transport (MoT) have identified issues related to information on driving licenses.
Among those detected is the use of old identification numbers such as police numbers, military numbers or old identification card numbers.
The information does not match the 12-digit MyKad format used in the subsidy eligibility review system, potentially affecting the recipient verification process.
Accordingly, those who are eligible are advised to ensure that their driving licenses contain complete and up-to-date information. This includes the use of a correctly recorded 12-digit MyKad number, the correct license holder's name, and the class and type of vehicle clearly stated.
This step is important because the information on the driver's license will be matched with the MyKad data which functions as a verification document through payment terminals at petrol stations.
The implementation of the BUDI95 targeted subsidy is open to the public starting today. The public can refer to the previous article for more information on the process and eligibility requirements
