Looking at the title, you can probably already imagine its size. The Kodak Charmera is a mini digital camera designed in the shape of a keychain. Weighing only 30g and measuring 2.3×1×0.8 inches in diameter, it is small enough to hang on a bag or belt using the clip provided.
However, don't be mistaken because it is not just a decorative device. The Charmera is a real camera that can record still images with a resolution of 1.3MP and videos at a rate of 30 frames per second in AVI format. Interestingly, this camera is also equipped with a small LCD screen on the back for easy previewing of images. To maintain a classic touch, it also comes with an optical viewfinder that resembles the experience of using an old camera.
This camera uses a basic 1/4-inch sensor and supports recording in a resolution of 1440×108 pixels. To add an element of fun, users can also choose from seven types of filters available. This filter allows the image to be converted to black and white, given a warm or cool tone, or made into a two-tone image that resembles a retro poster style.
In addition to offering four frame options that can be added to the image, the Kodak Charmera also provides a date stamp function that can be placed in the corner of the image as a marker of the recording time. The camera is equipped with a built-in battery that can be recharged via a USB-C connection. All recorded photos and videos can be saved to a microSD card.
The Kodak Charmera camera is built entirely of plastic. It is offered in seven different attractive colors, but buyers cannot choose their preferred color because this camera is sold in a mystery box or blind box. The Kodak Charmera is available for around $30 (~RM126) per box.
