The Nikon ZR Cinema Camera has officially launched in Malaysia with a starting price of RM9,688 for the body only. For the complete package, it is offered at RM12,408 with the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens and RM13,318 for the body with the NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6 lens.
The Nikon ZR is the first camera in the Z CINEMA series in collaboration with RED Digital Cinema. It is capable of recording video in resolutions up to 6K using RED color technology to produce high-quality cinematic images. Equipped with a 24.5MP full-frame sensor, the camera supports 6K/60FPS recording in R3D NE, N-RAW and ProRes RAW formats.
It can also record 4K/120FPS as well as FHD up to 240FPS for smooth slow motion. In addition, it uses an AI-based autofocus system, is equipped with 5-axis image stabilization and supports Frame.io integration to upload recordings directly to the cloud.
The Nikon ZR is capable of recording 32-bit float audio via a built-in microphone with five recording patterns including binaural and omnidirectional. It also offers a base ISO of 800 and 6400 as well as full ISO adjustment during editing in R3D NE format.
A 4″ LCD panel with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a brightness of 1000 nits is provided to complete this professional camera. For those interested, this camera is available for pre-order through authorized distributors throughout Malaysia.
