Rapid Rail Passengers Will Soon Be Able to Know Which Carriages Are Full and Empty in Real Time Before Train Arrivals

Rapid Rail operates the LRT and MRT train network in the Klang Valley, and is used by over a million passengers every day. In an effort to provide more comfort to passengers, Rapid Rail is now in the process of introducing a real-time train density monitoring system, making it easier for passengers to know which carriages are full and which are empty.

This effort is expected to further facilitate the handling of congestion issues, in addition to allowing users to anticipate the transport they are about to board. In addition, Rapid Rail is also improving a number of things, including the closed-circuit camera system which is now equipped with artificial intelligence support.

These steps are being taken by Rapid Rail in an effort to provide comfort and safety to users. Rapid Rail also shared that female users now represent about 60% of daily passengers.
