Snapchat Will Charge Extra Fees for Storing “Memories”

Snapchat has now announced that it will start charging users to save “Memories” for access through the service. With this move, all free users are provided with 5GB of storage, and for any storage beyond that, users will have to pay.

For this introductory phase, Snapchat is offering storage options of 100GB, 250GB through the Snapchat+ plan, or up to 5TB through the Snapchat Premium plan.

For existing users who use more than 5GB, you will be given up to 12 months to continue accessing it, before further measures such as limits are enforced.
