TVS REGZA Corporation, a subsidiary of Toshiba, has announced the development of its largest television, the 116-inch RGB Mini LED model, which uses a new generation of display technology. The television is expected to go on sale commercially by the end of 2025.
This model is part of the REGZA premium series that emphasizes picture quality and high-performance home entertainment innovations. After the successful launch of the 100-inch TV in 2023, REGZA is now introducing an RGB Mini LED backlight system that can control red, green and blue LEDs separately. This technology is also capable of producing brighter, more natural and deeper colors, making it suitable for large-sized screens.
Although the 116-inch model is still in development, this technology is actually used in the Z770R model that is currently on the market. Among the interesting features is the REGZA Engine ZRα image processing engine powered by artificial intelligence (AI).
It can analyze videos in real time, control brightness and color by zone, and reduce the effect of excessive light for a more natural display.
This technology also supports AI Scene Picture Quality Pro, which can identify luminous objects and reflections more accurately. The colors displayed are also more vivid and supported by up to 108-bit color processing to ensure better color transitions.
The Z770R model is also equipped with a REGZA Intelligence intelligent system that includes AI Picture, AI Sound, AI Pilot and Gen AI. All of these work automatically to adapt to content and user preferences.
As a result, the display becomes sharper, colors appear more natural, and audio is clearer for a more enjoyable viewing experience.
