Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, better known as CZ, received a pardon from President Donald Trump today. He was found guilty in 2023 and must pay a $50 million fine and serve four months in prison.
Under juvenile supervision, Binance pleaded guilty to three counts of money laundering and violating U.S. sanctions. In settling the case with the SEC and the U.S. Department of Justice, Binance pleaded guilty and was fined $4.3 billion.
