MG4 Electric Car Prices Now Offered Starting at RM 100K

There are only 3 months left until the end of the year and this year is likely to be the last year for the electric car import rebate (CBU). This is because it is one form of tax relief in encouraging the purchase of electric cars and there are many electric cars that have been introduced now approaching the price of RM 100K. This week MG Malaysia announced new prices for their MG4 electric car series that was launched last year.

The MG4 is an electric hatchback car that is offered in 3 versions, namely the MG4 Lux which is currently offered at a price of RM 100,888, the MG4 Lux Extended which has a range of 520KM is now offered at a price of RM 128,888 while the MG4 XPower which is the highest performance version and is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, is now offered at a price of RM 138,888.

All of these offers are also accompanied by a choice of a 7kW AC wall charger or charging credit, subject to the user's choice. Buyers will also receive a 7-year or 150,000 KM mileage warranty, an 8-year or 180,000 KM mileage battery warranty, and an 8-year or 180,000 KM mileage drivetrain and electric motor warranty.

With this price update, it indirectly puts the MG4 in line with various other electric cars, and within this, the MG4 Lux Extended with a range of 520KM can be said to be among the lowest priced when compared to other electric cars with a range of over 500KM.
