OnePlus today officially introduced its latest flagship phone for the Chinese market, the OnePlus 15. With this introduction, we may have to wait a few months before the same device is officially introduced for the global market.
The OnePlus 15 comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz – making it one of the first in the world to support such a panel on a smartphone. The screen panel also supports a minimum brightness rate of up to 1-nit – which is said to provide comfort when used at night.
Powering this smartphone is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The OnePlus 15 includes a 7300mAh battery with support for 12oW SuperVOOC charging.
On the camera side, it uses a 50MP Sony sensor as the main sensor, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP telephoto sensor. On the front, it includes a 32MP sensor. There is no more Hasselblad branding on the camera like before.
The OnePlus 15 also offers IP69K waterproof and dustproof support, in addition to including Bluetooth 6.0, WiFi 7, and NFC support. On the side of the device, OnePlus has replaced the iconic slider with the OnePlus brand with a shortcut button that can be customized with the application or feature you want to access.
In China, the OnePlus 15 comes running the ColorOS 16 operating system developed by Oppo, and can also be connected with the Apple Watch via the Oppo Health Connect application.
At the moment, the official launch for the global market has not been announced yet. Many are targeting it to be introduced around November.
